CDTA is upgrading its first BusPlus project, the Red Line, which launched in 2011. The first phase covers the BusPlus stations in Schenectady from Veeder/Nott to Niskayuna and will improve the station areas and adjacent intersections for transit riders, pedestrians, and other travelers throughout the corridor.

CDTA’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Priority Corridor Feasibility Study will determine where the most benefit to passengers can be achieved via changes to the roadway design, service levels, or other transit focused improvements.

CDTA is piloting mobility hubs in the Capital Region. These are locations where different travel options can be interconnected to offer a seamless transfer from one type of transportation to another (e.g., bus to DRIVE carshare). This study is in partnership CALSTART and funded via NYSERDA.

The Capital Region Bus Lane Feasibility Study is a joint effort between Capital Region Transportation Council and CDTA to investigate the feasibility, needed infrastructure improvements, and potential operating policies for bus lanes and other priority transit treatments within the CDTA service area.

CDTA is updating its Transit Development Plan (TDP). The TDP guides CDTA’s investment and service for the next five years based on stakeholder engagement, service evaluation, and market analysis. Click to take the survey, submit comments, and find out about our public meetings!
