NFTA Equitable Transit-Oriented Development

The NFTA received federal funding to plan for transit-oriented development along the Bailey Avenue BRT line. Transit-Oriented Development, or TOD, is an approach to development that focuses land uses around a transit station or within a transit corridor. In developing the plan, NFTA has made a commitment for Equitable TOD (or ETOD) to help close socioeconomic gaps and elevate community voice in transit-oriented development decision-making. ETOD advances policies and investment so that people of all incomes experience the benefits of dense, mixed-use, pedestrian-oriented development near train and bus stops.
